Military history exhibition at the museum
On Saturday 7th November between 10am and 4pm, the Peterborough Military History Group will be holding their annual Military Exhibition at the Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery in Priestgate, Peterborough. The exhibition, held in the ‘Howe Room’, is free and open to all.

The Peterborough Military History Group (PMHG), is a community group comprised of local people who have an interest in military history. This is the only exhibition of military artifacts, relics, documents, models, badges and general memorabilia to be held in Peterborough each year so if you are interested, please come along and take a look. After looking at the displays you might even want to join the group, which meets one evening a month at the museum with a different speaker every month.
The museum staff are always very welcoming and have supported our exhibition for many years. The PMHG has been in existence since the mid 1960’s and is one of the oldest community groups in the city.

Also at the exhibition we have a bargain stall, on which visitors will find for sale at extremely reasonable prices, all sorts of items including books, models, and other military collectibles. Proceeds from these sales go to group funds.
Our members, who have been collecting for many years, have some extremely rare items, particularly relating to the First and Second World Wars. This is one chance a year when they can put these items on show and when members of the public have an opportunity to see these rare items. We also have a number of modellers within our membership who are very skilled at constructing and painting scale models and these are also well worth seeing.
Come along and spend an hour looking at the exhibition and take a look around the rest of the museum while you are there.
