Enjoy Christmas shopping, food, drink and entertainment at Burghley
Around 200 independent makers, designers, producers and family businesses will gather at Burghley Christmas Fair next month.
Visitors to the Fair can look out for products created especially for the Fair, alongside seasonal ranges, personalised gifts and Christmas favourites chosen with festive giving in mind.
Set against the spectacular backdrop of Burghley House, the four-day Fair combines Christmas shopping with food, entertainment and plenty of opportunities to simply soak up the festive atmosphere.
A full programme of live music and entertainment will run throughout the Fair this year, while a traditional Helter Skelter will join the much-loved Victorian carousel.

Additional seating areas will give visitors more opportunities to stop, enjoy something to eat or drink and spend time with friends and family, with a wide choice of food and drink available across the site.
Traditional chalets, marquees and pagodas will once again be dressed with thousands of lights and decorations, with festive photo opportunities, marshmallow toasting and Burghley’s ever-popular snow machines adding to the atmosphere.
Visitors can experience the Fair by day or stay into the evening during two special late-night shopping sessions, when Burghley will be illuminated after dark and festive drone shows will light up the sky above the grounds.
Kara Groves, Head of Events at Burghley House, said: “One of the things that makes the Burghley Christmas Fair so special is the extraordinary mix of people behind the stalls. There are established family businesses, skilled craftspeople and entrepreneurs with fascinating stories, all coming together in one place.

“It means visitors can not only find something a little different for Christmas, but often meet the person who designed it, made it or grew it and discover the story behind it.
“The Fair has grown over the years, but what matters most to us is retaining that sense of discovery and festive atmosphere that visitors come back for.”
Burghley Christmas Fair takes place from 26 to 29 November and opens at 9.30am each day. The Fair closes at 4pm on Thursday and Sunday, with late-night shopping on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November, when it remains open until 7.30pm. A festive drone show will take place on both evenings.
Admission tickets must be booked online in advance. Visitors are asked to select an arrival timeslot when booking their chosen date, although they are welcome to stay for as long as they wish once inside the Fair.

Standard tickets cost £15 for adults and £5 for children aged 3–15, with free standard parking included.
The Burghley Christmas Fair is run in association with the Angel Committee to raise funds for Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough.
