Groove Padel announces Peterborough United partnership ahead of club opening
East of England’s largest padel club becomes Official Club Sponsor of Peterborough United as it prepares to open new 12-court club in the city.

Groove Padel has been announced as a new Official Club Sponsor of Peterborough United, as it prepares to open the East of England’s largest padel club in the city.
The partnership will see Peterborough United and Groove Padel work closely together, with networking events hosted at the new club, appearances from Peterborough United players and a dedicated Posh-themed padel court among the activations planned.

It comes as Groove Padel prepares to bring a new 12-court club to Peterborough, representing a seven-figure investment in the city and creating around 30 new jobs across coaching, hospitality, operations and club management.
Designed around the idea of creating a club rather than simply somewhere to book a court, the new Peterborough site will bring together padel with spaces to meet, eat, work and spend time before and after a game.
At the heart of the club will be 12 padel courts – 10 doubles and two dedicated singles – including three custom championship courts designed to support high-level competitive play and events. Dedicated coaching courts will also provide space for beginners and developing players.
Beyond the courts, a café and social space will give players somewhere to meet before a game or stay afterwards, while workspace will allow people to fit padel around the working day.
The club will also feature pickleball and golf simulators, alongside modern changing facilities and car parking. Members will also be able to enjoy Reformer Pilates.
With Founding Memberships now live and more than 50 per cent already sold, local sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to be among the first to experience the new club when it opens.
As part of the sponsorship, Groove Padel will also benefit from branding and exposure across Peterborough United’s platforms, helping build awareness of the new club among Posh supporters and the wider Peterborough community.
Peterborough United Commercial Director, Alex Harris, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Groove Padel on board as an Official Club Sponsor. What really excites me about the project is the scale of the ambition behind it. This is much more than simply opening a number of padel courts; they are creating a fantastic new sport, leisure and social destination for Peterborough.
“Padel has experienced phenomenal growth over recent years, and there is a real opportunity to introduce even more people across the city to the sport. With the addition of pickleball, coaching, the café and social areas, workspace and golf simulator, Groove Padel has the potential to become a genuine hub for the local community.
“We also wanted this to be a sponsorship that we really activate. From hosting networking events at the venue and player appearances through to the creation of a dedicated Peterborough United-themed court, there are some exciting elements to the agreement. There is a strong crossover between our audiences, and I’m looking forward to seeing the partnership come to life once the facility opens.”
Fraser Higson, Co-Founder at Groove Padel, commented: “This partnership is a first of its kind in the UK padel scene. Nothing like it has been done before, and we're proud to be doing it right here. At Groove, we've always set out to lead the way, raising the bar for what a padel club can be. This partnership is the latest step in that.
Peterborough United is woven into the fabric of this city, and that's exactly what we want Groove to be: a home for players and families to come together and feel part of something.
Teaming up with a Club that matters so much to so many people here means the world to us.”
The new club will add to Peterborough’s growing sport and leisure offer, creating a new destination for players and visitors from across the city and wider East of England.
