Wembley promotion star is the next guest speaker at a Peterborough United senior citizens event

Rea moved from Birmingham City to Posh in August 1999 and immediately helped the club to promotion from the old Division Three. He played 90 minutes of the 1-0 play-off final win over Darlington at Wembley, one of just 18 appearances he made that season.

Rea went on to play 184 games for the club, scoring eight goals, before leaving initially on loan to lower level Cambridge United, and then permanently to non-league Kidderminster Harriers.

Rea will be at the Weston Homes Stadium on Wednesday, November 25 (noon to 2pm). Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.
