Peterborough may fancy their chances of a rare away win as they take on Blackpool at Bloomfield Road (December 18, 3pm).

In one of the few games to survive the raft of Covid cancellations, Posh travel to face a Blackpool side who have now won in any of their last seven and haven’t scored in their last four over.

It represents a great chance to take something for only the second away match this season.

Some good news on the injury front, some bad

Blackpool bolted off into the distance at the start of the season but have come back towards the pack at the bottom of the table after a poor run.

Jerry Yates scored 23 last season, while he has found it a bot tougher a level up, he still has 5 goals, more than any Posh player. He has been outshone by Shayne Lavery though, the club’s star signing from Irish football, who has 7 in 18 this season.

Veteran centre-back Richard Keogh is now at Blackpool, while former Bolton striker Gary Madine can still be a powerful player at Championship level.

High-class midfielder Ryan Wintle moved to Blackpool from Crewe in the summer.

Darren Ferguson has aid he expects a very organised side, who play a back four and have plenty of pace upfront.

Fergie calls for his side to show consistency and put together a run

One of the few times, unfortunately, that Posh have run into a team in worse form than them. Blackpool haven’t won in seven and haven’t scored in their last four. This really has a feel of if Posh are well beaten here, where if the hope away from home?
