End of an era at Peterborough Town CC as long-serving skipper steps down, indoor cricket results, plus golf and darts latest
It’s the end of an era at Peterborough Town CC as first XI captain David Clarke has stepped down after a decade in charge.
Clarke took the job on in 2016 and stayed in post for 10 years apart from half a season in 2024 when Nick Green took over temporarily.
Town won three Northants Premier Division titles and three Northants T20 cups under Clarke's leadership, while also embarking on club record runs in the ECB Club KO competition.
Town endured a tough season in 2026 finishing fifth in the Northants Premier Division, almost 100 points adrift of champions Finedon.

Ramsey won twice on the opening day of the Hunts Under 13 Indoor Cricket League at the Peterborough School. Teams start at 100 runs and lose five runs every time a batsman is dismissed.
