The collision between a white Ford Fiesta and man in his 80s was at around 10am this morning (Friday).
The pedestrian has been flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with serious injuries.
St. Osyths Lane is now closed in both direction from Market Place to East Road and is likely to be so for the next couple of hours, police said.
