Work begins to transform former Peterborough United club shop into sports bar and community hub

Work has begun to transform the former Peterborough United club shop into a sports bar.

The former club shop- located next to the entrance to the club’s main reception at the Weston Homes Stadium- has been closed and behind a shutter ever since the new megastore was opened in 2024.

In recent months, signage appeared above the entrance for ‘Peeby’s Bar and Community Hub’ and work has now begun to reopen the unit as a sports bar.

The name has been inspired by the mascot of one of the club’s principal sponsors- Princebuld- and Peeby can be seen on a matchday entertaining fans during half time; going in goal for the dizzy penalty challenge.

The bar is a joint project between the club and Princebuild and could be open as soon as six weeks time.

No confirmed timeline has been published at this stage but work has begun to fit out the unit.

Posh fans can expect a venue that will be open to all fans pre and post match, kitted out with big screens to show live matches. The modern decor and lighting inside will centre around as Posh and Princebuild theme.

Outside of matchdays, the space will be used by the Posh Foundation and function as a community space that can be rented out.
