Peterborough United's Patryk Sykut called up to Ukraine squad for U19 European Championships

Sykut (17) has accepted his first call-up for Ukraine for the tournament that is taking place in Wales between June 28 and July 11.

Ukraine will play all of their games in Bangor at the Bangor City Stadium. They face Croatia on June 29 (8pm), Serbia on July 2 (6pm) and Italy on July 5 (4pm).

Sykut made his debut for Posh in January in a 2-0 win away at Wycombe and went onto appear nine times last season.

The crowning moment came with a stunning goal in the first half of the 3-3 draw with Exeter in February.

Skyut is eligible to play for both Ukraine and Poland and took part in an U18 training camp with Poland last month.

Sykut is skill free to represent either country right up until making a final choice at senior level.
