Posh have drawn their last two but are in need of wins if they are to overhaul the seven points that currently seperates them from Championship safety.

They will be boosted in this pursuit by the fact that Sammie Szmodics is fit to return from injury.

Russell Martin brings his inconsistent Swans into the match sitting 16th in the table.

Nearly time for the teams

Posh appear to have no new fitness worries but are expected to welcome Sammie Szmodics back into the squad. It could be a straight swap with Kwame Poku, with Poku taking his place on the bench for the match against Stoke.

Benda would have been ineligible for this match given that Swansea are his parent club but his injury takes care of that problem. Ex-Swansea keeper Dai Cornell will be in goal instead.

Swansea have an almost clean bill of health with midfielder Hannes Wolf, being monitored ahead of the match and may well have to settle for a place on the bench if he is fit at all.

More injury woes for Posh’s million pound man

Swansea aren’t in any danger of going down but won’t be troubling their play-off race either in what has been a very up and down season. They probably have the right idea though, dealing only in wins and defeats. Much better that draws. They haven’t drawn for 11 matches. Winning four and losing six, showing why they are in the bottom half of the table.

Last 6:

Blackpool 1-0 Swansea

Swansea 1-5 Fulham

Swansea 3-1 Coventry

West Brom 0-2 Swansea

Sheffield united 4-0 Swansea

Swansea 3-1 Bristol City
