Peterborough United are looking to stretch their unbeaten run to three matches as they host Swansea City tonight (March 16, 7:45pm).

Posh have drawn their last two but are in need of wins if they are to overhaul the seven points that currently seperates them from Championship safety.

They will be boosted in this pursuit by the fact that Sammie Szmodics is fit to return from injury.

Russell Martin brings his inconsistent Swans into the match sitting 16th in the table.

LIVE: Posh vs Swansea

Key Events

  • 7:45pm kick-off
  • Sammie Szmodics back from injury
  • Joel Randall to see a specialist
  • Posh unbeaten in their last two matches
  • Ryan Bennett could feature for the Swans

Very open game so far. Piroe sends a cross in, Smith stoops to chest it down but it bounces off him and goes well wide. Wants a corner but the officials disagree.

Posh get in a muddle in the box. Try three times to get a ball away, the last time Mumba gets in a mess and scuffs his clearance onto Kent. It falls to Obafemi, who shoots and Cornell has to get down low to beat it away.

Posh pick it up and break again. Kent goes wide to Ward who brings it away this time. The ball is sent into the box towards JCH but Szmodics comes flying in with a header and its well over.

Jones skips past Downes again on the left, drives to the by-line and cuts it back to JCH. He takes a poor touch tough and loses the ball but Jones has started well.

Posh dropping deep and Swansea are having all of the ball. The ball is chipped up to Christie on the back on Mumba, touches it infront of him but Cornell catches. Jones then goes on an excellent run down the left. Sends a ball into the box, only just ahead of JCH, who was his only option.

Posh playing a 5-4-1. Jones and Szmodics playing out wide.

The pitch is actually looking a bit better than an hour ago. Let’s see how it plays.

It’s been raining consistently for a few hours now, there looks to be one area of concern on the far side of the pitch but the ref and both managers are happy, for now.
