On paper, this looks to be one of the most winnable games that Posh have remaining given that their opponents sit 19th in the table and have won only one of their last seven matches.

Posh edged closer to League One on Tuesday night but will be hoping to end the season with pride. Sammie Szmodics will be up for this one in particular as he heads to face the club he spent an unhappy year with in the Championship. He scored two when the sides met at the Weston Homes Stadium earlier in the season.

Norburn injury has cost Posh

Premier League ref John Brooks is the man in the middle today. He has taken charge of Posh once this season, in the 4-0 defeat away at Blackburn; a night where Posh caused all of their own problems.

He has mostly been on VAR duty in the Premier League, making the headines recently for denying Newcastle a couple of clear penalties at Stamford Bridge, even with the help of the technology.

Speaking of Poku, he is confident about Posh’s chances...

Szmodics certainly showed his old side what they were missing out on last time out, scoring a sensational strike into the top corner from outside the box as well as a clever flicked header that caught the goalkeeper offguard.

Brisstol City looked dangerous everytiem they came forward though and ended up winning 3-2 thanks to an 4th minute Chris Martin goal, one of those how did Posh lose games.

Szmodics then went on a run of not scoring again in the league until he did so agaisnt Swnasea last month, a whole 18 games.

He was dropped last time out for Poku and may stay on the bench unless McCann backs the old players always score agaisnt their old cluns theory.

We are on the road again for what is probably one of the most winnable games Posh have left this season. McCann has certainly improved the side on the road and the home fixture look so though on paper, given they are all against teams going for the play-offs; except Blackpool on the last day but let’s be honest, they have put Posh to shame this season.

Let’s see if Posh can get the job done, follow all of the action here.
