Two men recovering after Boxing Day rescue from Peterborough flood waters
The incident took place at around 2am in Kingston Park, Stanground with the Police helicopter dispatched to assist with the rescue.
Two men were rescued after becoming stuck in the flood waters which had become commonplace across Cambridgeshire.

Hide AdA barrage of torrential rain hit on December 23 leaving many areas of the city, including Bourges Boulevard, parts of Nene Park and nearby villages such as Ramsey and Sawtry to deal with the effects of flooding right before Christmas.
In this case, both were rescued safely and did not require hospital treatment.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called at just before midnight on Christmas Day with reports of concern for two men stuck in Kingston Park, Peterborough, following the flooding.
“Emergency services attended the area and a search for the men commenced alongside the help of the National Police Air Service.

Hide Ad“Both men were rescued from the area by the fire service at just after 2am on Saturday (26 December).
“They were assessed by paramedics at the scene and did not require hospital treatment.”
