Ormiston Bushfield Academy: "Students a credit to both themselves and the Academy" with A Level results

Ormiston Bushfield Academy, which is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), is celebrating the success of their Year 13 students.

The cohort of students have been described as a credit to both themselves and the academy for the way they have navigated the challenges faced throughout their Post 16 studies.

They have been praised for the way they have demonstrated commitment, resilience, and support for each other throughout the last two years; with today seeing the culmination of all their hard work.

Students across the academy performed well, with some of the individual standout achievements including:

Phoebe- who has secured her place at University of York to study Physics and Maths. Having achieved A*, A, A in Maths, Physics and Chemistry along with an A* in AS Further Maths.

Angel- who achieved A*, A*, A, B in Psychology, Sociology, Extended Project and English will be studying English at the University of Kent.

Lucas- having achieved A*, Distinction* and A in Film, Performing Arts and English is delighted to accept his offer at King College London for Film Studies.

Ricardo- who achieved A, A Distinction* Biology, Chemistry and Performing Arts and will be studying Chemistry at the University of York.

Following a very competitive process of interviews Seb has secured his place at Nottingham University for Physiotherapy having achieved A, A, B, Distinction * in Psychology, Extended Project, Biology and Sport Studies

Grace- who has achieved grades of A*, A, A in English, Business and Geography and is delighted to accept her place at the University of Leeds to study English Literature.

Bailey- who is excited to start his career having accepted a Commercial Apprenticeship at GB Rail Freight. Having achieved B, Distinction, Distinction in Finance, Media and Sport Studies.

The hard work of staff and students has been recognised by over 50% of the students successfully achieving the high grades of A*/A in Art, Geography and Psychology.

The Academy has also been delighted to report that 88% of students studying the Performing Arts BTEC achieved a Distinction*/Distinction which is reflective of the amazing facilities and opportunities offered at the Academy alongside the determination of both students and staff.
