It's 155-0 to Peterborough RUFC in their last two home games at Fortress Fengate!
Peterborough RUFC went try crazy for the second successive home game in Regional 2 Midlands East on Saturday.
Borough demolished understrength Daventry 80-0 at Fortress Fengate by running in 12 tries with 10 of them subsequently converted. The city side had hammered Wellingborough 75-0 in their previous home game before Christmas.

Borough got right into their work from the kick off and thanks to a dominate scrum were guaranteed a ton of possession. Will Manning got the day’s first try from a nicely worked lineout move and quickly backed that up with another a few minutes later running straight through defenders from 40 metres out.
Next on the score sheet was number 8 Will Bell who scored his first off the back of a dominant five metre scrum and then his second after taking a short pass from scrum-half Tom Kemp.

With the flood gates already open Borough kept the scoreboard ticking over with further tries from Nick Langton, Aram Jones and Kemp. It was 47-0 at the break, but Borough maintained their concentration and high tempo play to keep scoring at will.
To their credit Daventry managed to keep Borough scoreless for the first 10 minutes of the second half, but the tries were soon flowing again. Langton went over twice to claim a hat-trick, a feat matches by Bell.
A well worked lineout move saw Alfie Lewis run a try in from half-way, leaving three defenders in his wake. And finally a returning Ross Chamberlain, playing his first game in a couple of seasons, thanks to some great footwork. Byron Van Uden continued his great form with the boot by kicking six conversions and Liam Shields kicked the other four.
It was a perfect build-up for derby day at Stamford next Saturday (January 17). Stamford didn’t play yesterday as only two games in the division beat the weather.
Borough director of rugby Shane Manning said: “It was a really good team performance. The tries are great, but what's just as pleasing is the lads didn't switch off defensively and kept Daventry scoreless, the 3rd time they done that this season.
"We aren't getting ahead of ourselves though as Daventry were missing a few regular players so credit to their young lads for fronting up. We have been in that situation with injuries and unavailable players so know how they are feeling. Next up for us is a really tough away derby game at Stamford. We drew last time we played and know they would have improved since that game so it’s going to be a really tough. The lads are going to have to be really switched on for the full 80 minutes as it’s going to be a tight game."
