The local lad started the first round very sharply throwing 2-3 punch combos to try and take the early lead. He really impressed with his slick footwork and various combinations which caught his opponent clean throughout the first round.

The home boy was a narrow winner of the second round, but coach Shujah instructed Smith to lead off his jab and set his straight back hand through the middle which proved a great success.

Smith didn't stop throwing punches and used his range and accurate shots to take the fight on a points decision.
