Pardoe back with a bang as Peterborough Cycling Club grab a second-placed team prize

There was an individual win for Paul Pardoe as Peterborough Cycling Club picked up a fine second-place finish at the Northampton & District Cycling Association time trial event at Brogborough.

Pardoe exceeded his expectations on his return to racing after illness by taking the overall win with a 19:36 over the F15/10 course.

Richard Lamb got the team off to a decent start with a solid 24:40 on his road bike on his return to open racing after an eight-year absence.

Next up, Loz Staples and Mark Tomlinson got their seasons off to a great start with a 23:17 and 22:40 respectively, despite the latter getting held up by traffic at one of the three roundabouts!

Jamie Murray then set a 20:20 for fourth place and a new 10 mile personal best.

The club are always seeking new members. E-mail to Christopher Monk at [email protected] if interested.
