It’s a very small sample of games for some players, but we did find someone worthy of an an A grade!
Grading key: A-Star pupil, B-Consistently good, C-Satisfactory, D-Could do much better, E-Bottom of the class.

13.
FRANKIE KENT: Appearances: 22. Goals: 1. He’s added toughness to the classy poise on the ball he showed last season to become a much more complete centre-back. He will always show his best in possession on the right hand side of a three. Goals at Portsmouth and against Rochdale have been conceded when Kent has been caught under crosses, but overall he’s been a model of consistency. A regular 7/10 man. GRADE: B

14.
NIALL MASON: Appearances: 17. Goals: 1. This neat-passing (a goal-costing howler at Crewe aside) is a useful squad player, capable of performing at full-back or centre-back, but he hasn’t threatened to stake a regular place in the side all season. He did claim his first Posh goal in an EFL Trophy draw against Burton, but that remains his standout moment of the campaign. He needs to put more pressure on others. GRADE: C-

15.
CHRISTY PYM: Appearances: 21. Goals: 0 The goalkeeper started the season in sparkling form, often keeping Posh in matches during slow starts. He’s not been so obviously good in more recent matches, but it’s tough to think of a goal conceded that has been his fault with the possible exception of Wimbledon away. Kicks the ball well and an excellent organiser of his defence. A most reliable member of the side. GRADE: B+

16.
LOUIS REED: Appearances: 11. Goals: 1. The central midfielder appeared on his way out of London Road in the close season before earning a reprieve and a regular starting place at the start of the competitive campaign. At his best he’s busy, bright and energetic, but his passing can be erratic and his tackling is often feeble. Destined to be a back-up to Taylor and Brown for the rest of the season. GRADE: C
