It’s a very small sample of games for some players, but we did find someone worthy of an an A grade!
Grading key: A-Star pupil, B-Consistently good, C-Satisfactory, D-Could do much better, E-Bottom of the class.

9.
SIRIKI DEMBELE: Appearances: 20. Goals: 6 An A grade for his first 10 games which included a hat-trick against Shrewsbury, but his form has tailed off alarmingly since his last goal at Oxford in an FA Cup tie on November 7. Now getting caught in possession too often without showing much determination to win the ball back. Manager delivered a thinly-veiled threat about his place in the side after the MK Dons game. GRADE: B-

10.
MO EISA: Appearances: 16. Goals: 3. Two goals against West Ham in an EFL Trophy game hinted at a return to form, but it’s apparent the striker just doesn’t suit the way Posh want to play. There’s no pace or physicality and he’s too easily knocked off the ball. Started just two League One matches despite the poor form of others which suggests the manager doesn’t fancy him or trust him. Posh would surely let him go in January. GRADE: D

11.
ETHAN HAMILTON: Appearances: 15. Goals: 0. The close-season capture hasn’t been able to break into the League One starting line-up even after a superb midfield display in the EFL Tropy win over West Ham. He’s athletic, quick and powerful, but the manager likes his central players to keep the ball better than Hamilton has shown he's capable of so far. His fitness and energy could become key in a hectic second half of the season. GRADE: C-

12.
IDRIS KANU: Appearances: 11. Goals: 0. It took a while for the manager to give the powerful athleticism and speed of Kanu a chance at right wing-back, but it’s already clear he will take some shifting from the starting line-up. He’s also delivered some fine crosses and he’s taken up some intelligent attacking positions. It’s been an impressive comeback from a serious eye injury suffered 12 months ago. GRADE: B
