It’s a very small sample of games for some players, but we did find someone worthy of an an A grade!
Grading key: A-Star pupil, B-Consistently good, C-Satisfactory, D-Could do much better, E-Bottom of the class.

5.
HARRISON BURROWS: Appearances: 6. Goals: 0. The 18 year-old was nowhere near a League One start until the poor form of others catapulted him into the side for the December 4-1 whacking of Rochdale. He set a goal up in a man-of-the-match performance that day and claimed another assist at MK Dons in the following match. Boundless energy and a quality left-foot which ought to guarantee him a run in in the side. GRADE: B.

6.
DAN BUTLER: Appearances: 17. Goals: 1. Finished last season so strongly it was anticipated more top form would follow, but he’s another who has lacked consistency. Better as a left wing-back than a full-back, but now faces a battle to get his place back from Burrows. Butler can get up and down the pitch as well as his young rival, but he’s looked sluggish too often this season. Scored a great goal at Bristol Rovers. GRADE: C

7.
FLYNN CLARKE: Appearances: 10. Goals: 3. This stylish attacking midfielder made all his appearances and scored all his goals (all in the EFL Trophy) as a 17 year-old. He clearly has a good football brain for one so young, taking up intelligent positions, and he can obviously finish as his spectacular strike at Cambridge United confirmed. His two League One starts showed promise, but also some inconsistent passing. GRADE: B

8.
JONSON CLARKE-HARRIS: Appearances: 20. Goals: 12. Amazingly for someone with such a strong scoring record, there are still concerns about the striker’s mobility, touch and hold-up play, but his numbers demand a decent grade for now. He has scored all sorts of goals (headers, free-kicks, penalties, tap-ins) and if Posh can improve the service to him he might well turn out to be a top player. Top scorer in League One. GRADE: B+
