Sheffield Wednesday are trying to borrow their way to promotion, form guide, ref watch, big match odds and a worrying supercomputer prediction

Sheffield Wednesday signed striker Davis Keillor-Dunn ahead of their League One trip to Peterborough United on Saturday (12.30pm kick off).

Keillor-Dunn has moved to Hillsborough on loan until January after failing to make an impact at Championship side Wrexham. After a couple of prolific seasons at Barnsley, the 28 year-old moved to North Wales last January, but didn’t start a game for his new club.

Keillor-Dunn’s arrival softened the blow of losing forward Louie Barry for three months. He damaged ankle ligaments in a 2-1 Tuesday night win at Wycombe Wanderers. Barry scored a hat-trick for Stockport County v Posh last season.

Wednesday had already been busy in the transfer market following their relegation from the Championship last season, mainly by recuriting loan players

Former Posh centre-back Ricardo Santos was their first signing from Swansea, but he has yet to play for ‘The Owls’ because of injury. Others to arrive included forwards Ali Al-Hamadi and Mason Burstow on loan from Ipswich and Hull respectively. Attacking player Jaiden Heskey has returned on loan from Manchester City for a second spell at the club, while midfielder Harry Gray has been borrowed from Leeds United. Gray won’t play tomorrow as he is following concussion protocols.

Liverpool winger Kieran Morrison is Wednesday’s six loan signing of the season so far.

EFL clubs are allowed an unlimited number of loan players, but can only name five in a matchday squad. Posh have one loan player, central defender Josh Feeney from Aston Villa.

Owls legend Barry Bannan is back at Wednesday after finishing last season at Millwall.

CURRENT FORM

Wednesday, a team that finished on an embarrassing zero points after a humiliating Championship season last term, have made a bright start to the League One season with three wins from four matches.

Wednesday have won both their away games this season 2-1 at Orient and Wycombe. They lost their first home game 1-0 to Bradford City, but hammered Bromley 7-2 at Hillsborough last weekend.

REF WATCH

Andrew Humphries is the man in the middle tomorrow. He sent three players off in a match between Crawley and Crewe on the opening day of the League Two season. He cautioned eight players in AFC Wimbledon’s 1-0 home win over Wigan Athletic in League One last weekend.

Last season he failed to award Posh a blatant last-gasp penalty in a 1-0 defeat at Stevenage.

BIG MATCH ODDS

Posh are 2/1 with Sky Bet to win tomorrow with ‘The Owls’ 21/20, both at Sky Bet who have the draw priced up at 13/5. You can get 66/1 for Posh to repeat their 4-0 win over Wednesday in the club’s last meeting at London Road.
