Peterborough United will open their National League campaign with a juicy local derby at Northampton Town.

The Midlands Division One fixture will take place on Sunday, August 20.

Posh will open their home programme against Sutton Coldfield Town on Sunday, September 3.

Posh will play their home matches at Bourne Town FC’s Abbey Lawn stadium.

Posh finished fourth last season in a division that sees just one team promoted.

Posh lost 3-0 at home to higher level Wolverhampton Wanderers in their first pre-season friendly on Sunday.
