Bonus win for FC Peterborough, late agony for Deeping Rangers and Yaxley are upwardly mobile
FC Peterborough stopped a run of five straight defeats in all competitions by beating Eynesbury Rovers 3-2 in a United Counties Premier Division South contest at the Millfield Autoparts Stadium on Saturday.
It was a bonus win for the city side who had lost the same fixture on the opening day of the season, but a replay was ordered after Eynesbury were found to have played an ineligible player.

Dom Sanha (2) and substitute Jack Bedwell scored the goals for FC Peterborough who are 12th in the table, two places and two points ahead of Yaxley who won 2-1 at winless bottom club Highgate United thanks to first-half goals from Lil Francisco and Cameron Watson.
There was frustration for Deeping Rangers, who are bottom of the Premier Division North. They led three times against fourth placed AFC Mansfield, but drew 3-3 after conceding a 96th-minute leveller to a side reduced to 10 men. Callum Davies, Michael Gash and Kyle Rowell scored for Deeping.

March Town are now six points clear at the top of the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division after a 2-0 win at Mildenhall Town, but Holbeach United were the only local winners in Division One North and they required a 91st minute goal from Kartell O’Neill-Martin 9 to see off Wroxham Reserves 1-0 at Carters Park.
Netherton United lost 3-0 at Wivenhoe who have leapfrogged the city side into fourth place.
Bourne Town are five points from safety in the Northern Premier Midlands Division after a 2-1 home defeat to Belper Town. Lewis Darlington scored a late consolation goal for ‘The Wakes’ after Will Lakin has added to a string of penalty saves this season.
Wisbech Town lost their second round FA Vase tie 4-2 at South Midlands League side Belstone. Ryan Lennon and Sam Harris scored for ‘The Fenmen.’
