Peterborough United striker was never going to let a nasty fall, a head injury and some whiplash stop him from playing
Harry Leonard was never going to let a nasty fall, a head injury and some whiplash stop him from playing for Peterborough United.
A week after suffering an awful crash landing which resulted in the 22 year-old leaving the pitch on a stretcher, Leonard was back challenging for every ball as Posh beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-0 at Adams Park yesterday.

Goals from Kyrell Lisbie and substitute Cian Hayes secured a first win at this ground since 2003. Lisbie now has eight goals in all competitions, just one fewer than Leonard.
Leonard told the Posh Plus service: “I want to play every game for this club and the gaffer to help them as much as possible. I felt like myself during the game and I’m always happy to do the dirty side of the game. I can get involved in the link-up play as well, but the other stuff comes first.
"I would never shy away from challenging for balls in the air, especially so after what happened the previous weekend. It was a weird situation for me as I’d never had a head injury before. It was a harsh landing I wasn’t sure what had happened, but by Monday I felt as good as gold so it was just a case of managing myself properly by following the protocols for concussion.
“I was always confident I would play at Wycombe and the lads never stopped working and running to make sure we got the win we deserved.
"Teams are setting up to stop us playing now more than they are setting up to get the better of us and it’s just a case of trying to find ways to get goals.
"Cian changed the game with his performance. He showed the ability that we see every day in training and Kyrell’s pace can scare teams. The more he keeps scoring and assisting the better for the team.
"I don’t mind some scoring competition!”
