Peterborough United fans on Kyrell Lisbie sale: 'Death by a thousand cuts,' 'good bit of business,' 'those new recruits need to get here fast'
Barring unforeseen hitches, the PT understands the transfer of winger Kyrell Lisbie to Championship side Millwall will be confirmed on Monday.
Initial reports suggested the fee was £3 million with add-ons taking it to a potential £6 million, although those numbers have been disputed in South London.

Posh fans were aghast at the news at first, but there was eventually a general acceptance of the move, providing the windfall was re-invested in boosting a frail looking squad.
Here are a selection of fans’ views on the Lisbie situation as told to @PTAlanSwann on X…

I wasn’t his biggest fan. As a winger he barely beat his man, especially if the full back was quick, and his crossing was more miss than hit. But he did have an instinct for goals. How we spend the money will show how ambitious we are. Squad now feels even lighter – @NoelPorteous
No choice but to sell at that price, but 14 days to show if there is any ambition left at the club – @gsly1980
if ever the chairman needed to produce it’s now. The fans are flat and it’s no wonder. Five signings away from a disaster currently. And also what does it say to Harry Leonard, Matty Garbett and Alex Bass? – @MattStevenson11
They need to spend the money wisely on decent recruits and that has rarely happened in recent years – @PMettrick
The money needed to get in the recruits we clearly need wasn't going to come out of thin air, and I'd rather lose Lisbie than Leonard. It’s a great deal for us, and another example of the kind of deal we've done for years, but those new recruits need to come in fast now – @romysdad
I’d snap their hand off for £3m as he ain’t worth that. Only winger I know that’s incapable of taking on a fullback – @Clarkeyboy77
if the money is not available to buy players then selling is the only way to generate it. This is a great deal if the figures are correct – @C5RNS
It will be an indication of desperation given the lack of recruitment. Got say my love of Posh is waning and next season I might not bother with a season ticket. Have watched for 60 years, but this is death by a 1000 cuts – @ChestneyS
It is difficult to argue against it. I get the financial constraints. But from a fans perspective not sure I want to be happy that the club simply exists. We are just not signing anybody at the moment as we are just a selling club. Not been the same since the Oxford loss in the play-offs – @CHAMM24
Good business for Posh. Let’s go and find the next one now! – @scarboroughsss
We are in for a long season with or without Lisbie and better to cash in while he's still a League One player – @davidwh1971
Other than Bass and Leonard (where’s the service to him coming from?) all our top performers from last season (Lees, Collins, Morgan, Lisbie and Garbett) will all have departed. As things stand relegation is a certainty unless Darragh and Barry have some aces up their sleeves – @cooper_derren
Ultimately a good move. Turns the pressure up to 11 though. Need to replace a now £3m Championship left winger, a top class League One number 6, get a new right winger, maybe a 10, centre-back and back-up striker. If we don’t get it right, in years gone by it meant midtable in League One. This year it’ll be the drop. That’s the difference this time – @tomwoods35
We need the cash. Good deal. There's more in the factory somewhere – @SidDay1
Good bit of business. Although unlikely, he could turn out to be a one-season wonder. No-one had heard of him this time last year. Frees up space and money in the squad. People need to be realistic about who we are, where we are and what we can realistically achieve – @IanJBryant
Important we get 4/5 new signings who can immediately make an impact in League One. Not some dross from Switzerland or Sweden – @JohnVerrall
