Mass reunion on derby day as Peterborough Sports host Stamford AFC
There’s a mass reunion at PIMS Park on Saturday when Peterborough Sports host Stamford AFC in a Southern Premier Division Central contest (3pm kick off).
Sports stars Leon Lobjoit, Jevani Brown, Harry Vince, Tom Jackson, Jack Keeble, Joe Burgess and Jordon Cooke are all former Stamford players.

And in the Stamford squad tomorrow will be Dan Lawlor and Mark Jones who played key roles in Sports’ surge through the divisions all the way to National League North level.
Sports boss Mark Ducket is aware of the interest this local derby has attracted, although his side will start as hot favourites. Sports are seventh after losing just two of their last 13 league games, while Stamford are rock bottom with just four points from 15 matches.
Ducket said: “It’s a huge game for all concerned, but I’ve been telling the players all week it’s also just another league game. It’s a tough one though. THis league is unforgiving and they try and play , and they don’t give up, but we need to keep our form going.”
Spalding United are at AFC Telford in National League North and there are home matches for local non-league clubs, Blackstones, FC Peterborough, March Town, FC Parson Drove and Whittlesey Athletic.
Netherton were knocked out of the Thurlow Nunn League Cup, 4-1 at home by Premier Division side Lakenheath on Wednesday, when FC Peterborough were going down 2-0 at ON Chenecks in the United Counties Premier Division North.
