Another injury
More bad news on the injury front to report, Thompson is the latest casualty. It is believed JCH missing out is not due to injury but just a tactical choice to try and hurt Sheffield United with pace. We’ll see how that goes, Posh played the end of the Cardiff game with out JCH of course....
Coventry is thrown straight in and rather surprisingly, Jorge Grant drops to the bench. He has been Posh’s brightest creative spark this season and is always looking to get his head up and pass the ball forward.

The team Peterborough United fans would pick for the Championship match at Sheffield United
The PT turned team selection for Peterborough United’s Championship fixture at Sheffield United on Saturday (September 11) over to the club’s fans.
Transfers out: Sheffield United
Aaron Ramsdale (GK) to Arsenal (£25m)
Phil Jagielka (CB) to Sheffield United (free)
Simon Moore (GK) to Coventry (free)
John Lundstram (CM) to Rangers (free)
Jack Rodwell (released)
Kean Bryan (released)
Transfers in: Sheffield United
Ben Davies (CB) from Liverpool (loan)
Conor Hourihane (CM) from Aston Villa (loan)
Morgan Gibbs-White (CM) loan from Wolves (loan)
Robin Olsen (GK) from Roma (loan)
All loans but in amongst them in Conor Hourihane who is a very good player at this level and exciting prospect Gibbs-White but for goodness sake, Robin Olsen has 50 caps for Sweden and is their number 1! He played in their 2-1 win over Spain during the international break.
Back to earth with a bump
After a dream 9th place finish in the Premier League two seasons ago, things were a lot tougher for the Blades in the second season, in no small part to an unbelievably unlucky run with injuries, and they ended up getting relegated with just 23 points.
They lost Chris Wilder along the way and Slavisa Jokanovic has struggled to make an instant impact on his new side. They currently sit 23rd with just two points from 5 games. Some late action in the transfer window has given them hope (they’ve signed Sweden’s number one keeper!) and Jokanovic will hope that it is enough to shake the side out of its Premier League hangover. So far, they’ve been mauled by West Brom and suffered shock defeats in both home matches.
Last 5: Luton 0-0 Sheffield United
Sheffield United 1-2 Huddersfield
West Brom 4-0 Sheffield United
Swansea 0-0 Sheffield United
Sheffield United 0-1 Birmingham
He’s barely met his teammates but he did score in midweek for Ireland U21s...
Peterborough United could throw new signing straight into the fray...even though he hasn’t met his new teammates yet
Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson is prepared to throw transfer deadline day loan signing Conor Coventry straight into his starting line-up at Sheffield United on Saturday - even though he will have had just one training session with his new teammates.
