Peterborough United travel to face Queens Park Rangers in the Championship (March 20, 12:30pm).

Victory would be Posh’s third over the same opponents this season after 2-1 and 2-0 wins in the league and FA Cup respectively.

They will have to do it without young star Ricky-Jade Jones though after he picked up a shoulder injury against Swansea.

The club will also have to be careful with Sammie Szmodics after he looked to limp off in the same game, having only just returned from injury.

LIVE BLOG: QPR vs Posh

Key Events

  • 12:30pm kick-off
  • Jones out with shoulder injury
  • Posh now 10 points adrift of safety
  • Posh looking for third win over QPR this season
  • QPR sign Keiren Westwood after goalkeeping crisis

Posh seeing all of the ball here. Knight with an exquisite touch out of the air just now. Would be on every highlight reel going if it was De Bruyne.

A lot of energy in this Posh start. Pressing QPR all over and forcing mistakes.

First chance and it goes for Posh. Edwards pushing high pressurises Sanderson and he gives the ball away. His back pass is poor, Szmodics runs onto it on the edge of the box. He hits it first time though towards the corner and its a weak effort the keeper falls on.

Like most games nowadays, it’s wingbacks vs wingbacks. McCallum and Adomah for QPR.

Kieren Westwood, Sam McCallum, Dion Sanderson, Rob Dickie, Jimmy Dunne, Albert Adomah, Andre Dozzell, Sam Field, Luke Amos, Ilias Chair, Andre Gray

Subs: Murphy Mahoney, Yoann Barbet, Charlie Austin, Dominic Ball, George Thomas, Moses Odubajo, Jeff Hendrick

Dai Cornell, Bali Mumba, Frankie Kent, Ronnie Edwards, Josh Knight, Joe Ward, Jack Taylor, Oliver Norburn, Sammie Szmodics, Jack Marriott, Jonson Clarke-Harris

Subs: Will Blackmore, Mark Beevers, Harrison Burrows, Jorge Grant, Jeando Fuchs, Kwame Poku, Joe Taylor

Long-term absentees Nathan Thompson, Joel Randall and Dan Butler remain out as does Steven Benda, the club believes today will be his last match out injured.

Ricky-Jade Jones was cursed by injury once again on Wednesday night and will be a big loss for Posh. Szmodics had a slight limp when coming off on Wednesday, he had only just returned from a groin injury and will certainly be wrapped in cotton wool by McCann.
