A win could take Posh out of the bottom three, but Darren Ferguson’s side have lost all six of their away games so far this season.

Key Events

  • 2-1 Posh FT
  • Posh hoping to avoid 7th consecutive away league defeat
  • Posh expected to stick with three at the back formation
  • Jonson Clarke-Harris serving the third of his four-match suspension
  • Hull have failed to score in 8 of their 12 league games

Fergie has come down from the stands and is now on the touchline. Bernard is ok too.

Swung into a dangerous area again, a whole mess of bodies around Cornell, Posh able to get in clear, not quite sure how, it looked there for a tap-in and Bernard takes a whack on the head in the melee.

Hull beak out. The ball is lost and Butler is caught upfield, Wilks sprints past him and gets all the way to the Posh box, Edwards is too late to come across and can only throw his body at his shot which may well have been heading for the far corner. Corner ball.

Strong 5 minutes from Posh. Pressing as much as they have all season. Hull being forced into mistakes.

Corner now, Posh in to the left again, Dembele’s cross blocked.

Good football from Thompson. Drives past three men, picks Butler out on the left. He drives in a low cross that causes panic. Hull can only get it out to Szmodics on the edge of the box but his shot is too weak and is easily cleared.

Huddleston can’t continue. Richie Smallwood replaces him.

Huddlestone down gettign treatment. Moments before Szmodics forced Ingram into a sharp save after he arrived in the box and looked to shoot low to his left after Grant’s low ball in. Flag up though, looked the right call.

By the same token, so much space for Hull too. Ball upfield and Magennis has the freedom of Hull to chest down to Honeyman. He shoots over the bar from just outside the box.

Grant loops a free-kick over the wall and down only just outside the keeper’s right-hand post about 25 yards from goal. Dembele had been pushed in the back to give it away. There is plenty of space here is Posh can cut out the mistakes.
