Peterborough United have a huge game at the bottom of the Championship at fellow strugglers Hull City tonight (October 20, 7.45pm).

A win could take Posh out of the bottom three, but Darren Ferguson’s side have lost all six of their away games so far this season.

Hull build from a goal-kick. The ball is hoofed up Taylor jumps for fresh air, leaves space for Huddlestone to sprint away from him. He plays in Potter who has drifted off Knight in the box, if he takes a touch he probably has a shooting chance but instead he tries a first-time pass and Edwards is able to block.

Poor again. Szmodics with a half-hearted touch to try and turn his man. Loses the ball and just stops to appeal for handball instead of chase. Honeyman picks up and threads a ball to Lewis-Potter. Knight dives in but only deflects it more into the forward’s path and Cornell has to come out to the edge of the box to block the shot. Dear me.

Free-kick swung in, punched out by Cornell but there is Huddlestone to hit the volley which clatters off the post. Great hit, but Posh causing their own problems.

Yellow for Edwards. Silly playing out from the back, Edwards gets a pass while he’s under pressure from Cornell, he has to go back to the keeper, he then fires one at Knight, who is closed down by two and he loses the ball. Edwards dives in on Honeyman and gives away a free-kick on the left after he dives in.

Yellow card for Huddlestone for dissent, he took exception to an offside call. Just as well for Posh, Norburn had got in all sorts of bother and lost the ball.

Great ball again, missed by everyone but it drops in the centre of the box, Posh hack clear but it comes back via Honeyman and he crosses into Bernard. He put his effort well over the bar though. Posh look lively but set pieces are a problem.

Another corner Hull, Elder has a good delivery on him, as he just showed.

Ball into a great area in the six yard box from Butler but no one attacks it, still a corner though as Huddlestone puts it out but the corner is so poor and Huddlestone is there again for an easy head clear.

Good delivery to the edge of the six yard box, Posh did not have their markers and Bernard stoops to head the ball but directs his effort wide. Let off.

Hull corner, Butler does well on the slide to deny Wilks a crossing chance.
