Peterborough United must start winning as they host Blackburn in the Championship on Friday (April 15).

Victory could take Posh to six points from safety but defeat could see them effectively relegated with 12 points to make up in four games, with the worst goal difference in the league by a distance.

They may fancy their chances against a play-off chasing but out-of-form Blackburn side, who have won just one of their last seven games. They are boosted by the return of Ben Brereton-Diaz and Bradley Dack in recent weeks.

Nearly time for the teams

Posh will be without Joe Ward for this one, Bali Mumba looks the obvious candidate to replace him but McCann played down his chances of starting yesterday. The options would then seem to be Knight at right back or Poku at wing back, we will have to see.

The rest are ling tern injuries, Joel Randall is not far away but this gamw will come just too soon for him.

Posh have met Blackburn at a bad time as star men Ben Brereton-Diaz and Bradley Dack are back from injury. Diaz scored twice in the return game in November. Tayo Edun also returned from ling-term injury last time out, Posh had him in the building at the start of the summer but Darren Ferguson rejected him based off his attitude.

McCann convinced better results are around the corner
