Burton Albion ready to do battle against Peterborough United's 'wonderful footballing team.'
Burton Albion boss Gary Bowyer is relishing the chance to tackle a ‘wonderful footballing team’ at the Weston Homes Stadium on Sunday (1pm kick off).
It’s a great chance for Peterborough United or ‘The Brewers’ to virtually seal safety from relegation. The teams are locked together on 51 points, three points clear of fourth-from bottom Exeter City after their remarkable 3-3 draw on Saturday.

Burton host Exeter next weekend. Posh have a game in hand on both teams and a better goal difference so there is a huge incentive for both teams to win.
Burton come into the game in better form with just one defeat in five matches whereas Posh are enduring an awful run of form with just one win in their last 11 games, which includes a horrible performance when losing 3-1 at home to relegation certainties Port Vale on Thursday.
"It’s exciting there are so many teams are still involved in the battle,” Bowyer said. “Last year we played catch-up and got out of trouble in a unique way from 13 points back. This season we have just got on with things and kept looking forward which we are still doing.
"We are hunting down the teams in front of us and we know we can’t rely on other teams. We have to do it ourselves so it’s good we have hit a bit of form with back-to-back clean sheets for the first time this season in our last two matches.
"We now face a wonderful footballing, possession-based football team. They’ve been that way for a long time under Darren Ferguson at first so we know what to expect.
"We have to have the right mindset and we will. The intensity in training has been very good this week so we are looking forward to the game.”
