It persuaded me to nominate the top 20 players, in my 50 years following Posh, who I have enjoyed watching the most.
I’ve included two current stars, but I’ve had to leave some top players on the sidelines
In reverse order….
5. 16th: CHRIS TURNER
A powerhouse centre-half, as hard as nails, who also scored more than his fair share of goals. Photo: s
6. BILLY KELLOCK
A player signed from non-league Kettering Town and a scorer of cracking goals from midfield. He had an 'edge' to his game which I rather liked. Photo: David Lowndes
7. 14th: JIMMY BULLARD
Signed from West Ham as an unknown in 2001 and left after 70-odd appearances in a struggling side with a reputation for excellence two years later. Photo: Adam Fairbrother
8. 13th ADAM DRURY
By some distance the best defensive left-back I’ve ever seen at Posh. And he came through the youth ranks which made his progress even more enjoyable. Photo: David Lowndes
