After wins against Bristol Rovers and Millwall, Posh are looking for a hattrick and to close the three-point gap to Reading in 21st place.

Coventry come into the game struggling for league form, having not won any of their last six but the in-form Matt Godden will lead the line for Mark Robins’ side.

Key Events

  • 3pm kick-off
  • Benda and Mumba could start, Morton injured
  • Posh looking for third straight home win
  • Coventry haven’t won in their last six league games
  • Godden set to start for Coventry, who sit in 10th

Godden rises well for the corner, heads it across goal but noone gambles, it would have been an easy tap-in.

Another defence splitting pass from Conventry, Godden in down the side but well run out by Edwards, blocks his cross for a corner.

Josh Knight turns into Dembele momentarily. Running almost half the length of the pitch to get into the box, he ends up on his wrong foot in the end and is tackled in the box before getting a shot away but it was a great run.

Mumba yellow card, goes for the ball with Kane on the slide. Looked a blatant dive.

Coventry come straight back, it’s a good game to watch. The press is seeing three men on Posh players at times and they win it back off Burrows , play it into Godden. This time, Knight narrows his angle to shoot and Cornell saves easily.

Jorge Grant smashes it into the top right hand corner of the goal from just outside the box. It was won well by Taylor, who played a simple pass into his feet. Great goal.

What a move from Coventry. Hamer curls a beautiful ball into the path of Allen 35 yards from goal, he actually takes a poor touch, the ball rather bobbles off his foot and into the bx but he still bundles his way past Knight. It’s a similar angle to the one Godden scored from but Allen puts it into the side-netting, really should have done better.

The first corner taken short and headed out by the first man, the second played short and Dembele can’t even get it into the box. Posh are giving this a go but Coventry look liek they’re setting up to play on the break.
