Local cricket club are chasing a National title at Lord's on Sunday, Ketton Sports Girls have won a Hunts title
Local club AK 11 are at the ‘Home of Cricket’ on Sunday hoping to become National Indoor Champions.
The Hunts Indoor Champions of 2025 won a dramatic Regional Finals Day at Uppingham School earlier this month to reach the last four and book a trip to Lord’s. It’s only the second time the Hunts champions have reached Finals Day and Godmanchester went on to claim the National title in 2010.
AK 11, who play outdoors in Hunts Division One, have been drawn against Hampshire champions Waterlooville in the first semi-final (11am). If successful the local team will tackle Ockbrook and Borrowash (Derbyshire) or Whitstable (Kent) in the final at 2.45pm.
Entry is free.
GIRLS INDOOR
Ketton Sports beat Peterborough Town in a series of four matches to win the inaugural Hunts Under 15 Girls competition.
The teams won two matches apiece with Ketton taking the title by virtue of taking more wickets.
