It’s a classic match-up which pitches Gill’s silky skills against Belotti’s punching power and the Chatteris man is a 1/4 favourite to come out on top with Betfair.

Gill has won 24 of his 25 professional fights (seven KOs), while Belotti has lost three of his last five bouts. Both are former Commonwealth title holders.

Gill is confident. He said: “It’s a must-win fight for both of us, but I’m not just going out to win, I want to put on a show as well. People around the world will be watching and I need to make the most of this opportunity.”

Belottis sees the fight as a chance to get his career back on track, but he’s the underdog according to experts interviewed in trade magazine Boxing News.

Anish Parekh, British Boxing News writer said: “Bellotti will give his all, but I believe Gill still has the potential to become a star. He can’t afford anymore slip-ups and he will be sharp and prepared to display his array of skills, which will ultimately be too much for Bellotti to handle.

“Gill wins by stoppage between round 6 and 9.”

Tino Bellot, three-weight National amateur champion said: “I’m a really big fan of Jordan Gill who is a fighter that often goes under the radar. Reece Bellotti has shown a lot of promise at times and he’s got a lot of heart, but I’m leaning towards a majority decision win for Jordan after a thrilling contest.”

Steve Wood, manager/promoter, VIP Promotions said: “A great 50/50 fight and I was tempted to go with the better boxing skills of Gill, but decided to edge towards Bellotti due to his extra punching power.”
