Police say death of woman found in Peterborough is 'not suspicious'

Police have said the death of a woman found in Peterborough at the weekend is not suspicious.

Emergency Services were called to Speechley Drove, near Newborough at around 10am on Sunday (January 3) following reports of an incident.

The road was closed, and the body of a woman, aged in her 40s, was found at the scene.

At the time police said the death was being treated as 'unexplained' with further investigations taking place.

Today, a Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said: "We were called at just before 10am on Sunday (3 January) to reports of a sudden death in Speechley Drove, Newborough. The death of the woman in her 40s has been deemed non-suspicion and will be handed to the coroner."
