Peterborough Cathedral to hold memorial service to remember Duke of Edinburgh

Prince Philip died aged 99 on Friday.

His funeral is due to be held this Saturday, and the country is in a period of national mourning until the funeral takes place.

On Friday evening, on the eve of the funeral, Peterborough Cathedral will host a special Memorial Evensong.

Following the announcement of The Duke’s death on Friday, Peterborough Cathedral tolled their bell 99 times in tribute.

Part of the Cathedral is open for private prayer every day between noon and 2pm - although that has been extended today until 6pm.
