Political View: Thank you, and now let's have a General Election
Reform-UK would like to thank everyone who voted for us in the Fletton & Woodston and the Ramsey By-Election last week, writes cllr Peter Reeve MBE.
We again had some fantastic results. We are proud of and grateful for every single vote that was given to us.

Reform-UK achieved some fantastic results again in these By-Elections. In Ramsey Reform-UK achieved another massive landslide victory and in Fleeton & Woodston, Reform-UK got more votes than Labour, Liberal Democrats, Conservatives and Independent all added together. We are always thankful to every one of our neighbours who puts their trust in us and votes for Reform-UK.
This week the country finds itself with yet another new Prime Minister – this time one who has not even had his policies or his manifesto put to the public. Without a General Election, we in Reform-UK believe that this new Prime Minister and his policies do not have a true mandate. The contrast between Andy Burnham and Nigel Farage (Reform-UK’s Party leader) could not be clearer. When the establishment ganged up to attack Nigel Farage – with trumped up claims about his integrity – his reaction was to go back to the people who elected him and let them decide if they want to keep him or not. Andy Burnham’s reaction to becoming the Prime Minister as a result of winning the internal Labour Party backstabbing and infighting – is to deny the public the choice to decide if we want him as our Prime Minister or not.
We in Reform-UK demand a General Election – Andy Burnham should Let the People Decide. Especially as it is becoming very clear that he seems intent on hammering the taxpayer even harder than Labour have done already by putting up taxes even further.
It will be very interesting, and I fear infuriating to see how many other policies that have not faced the test of a General Election Andy Burnham will be introducing which will hurt the hard-working people of Peterborough and the UK.
As well as loving Nigel, our Party Leader and trusting our hard-working Councillors locally, most people say they vote for Reform-UK because of how consistent we are with our policies. Our position on believing in low taxation, low immigration, and Uk National Sovereignty have been consistent and clear. We have been the only party that has for decades been true to our principles and beliefs.
We believe the UK will be better off outside the European Union and out of the Jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights – which is the main reason why the UK still is unable to control unwanted mass migration and unwanted illegal immigration. It is only with a Reform-UK Government that the true benefits of Brexit can be achieved and revealed, and it is only with a Reform-UK government that mass immigration can be brought under control and illegal migrants dealt with properly and deported. This is why we insist on a General Election now, So Reform- UK can get this country back on track.
