Police move hunt for missing Peterborough teenager Bernadette as searches enter third week

Police searching for missing 17-year-old Bernadette Walker have moved their search south along the A16 as the hunt enters a third week.

Officers have spent the last two weeks searching for Bernadette in Cowbit and surrounding countryside, with police divers involved in the hunt, searching the River Welland.

Now the search operation has moved south along the 16 towards Crowland, as officers continue to try and find her, or evidence as to what has happened to her.

Bernadette’s parents, Sarah Walker (37) and Scott Walker (50), both of Century Square, Millfield appeared at Peterborough Crown Court via video link earlier this month charged with her murder.

A trial date was sent for March next year

Bernadette was reported missing by mum Sarah on July 21 after she had not been seen for three days.

Police are still appealing for information to try and find out what happened to her, with the appeal focussing on July 18 - when Bernadette was last seen alive.

When she went missing, she was described as medium build, her hair was half brown, half gingery blonde with a streak of pink. She has facial piercings and two homemade tattoos. She wears glasses and is around 5ft 6in.

Anyone with information that can help the investigation is asked to contact Cambridgeshire police on 101.
