Sarah (37) and Scott Walker (50) of Century Square, Millfield, appeared in front of Judge Sean Enright via video link from HMP Peterborough this morning.

Both were arrested over the weekend after police launched a ‘no body’ murder investigation. Bernadette (17) was reported missing on July 21 by her parents, who said she had been missing for three days.

Both Scott and Sarah, both wearing black t-shirts, only spoke to confirm their identities at the hearing, and no pleas were entered, and there were no applications for bail.

Sarah sobbed during parts of the short hearing.

There has been a large media interest in the case, and journalists were able to follow the hearing via a video link in a court room in Peterborough Magistrates’ Court.

A trial at Peterborough Crown Court will be heard on March 9, and is expected to last two to three weeks.

Both Scott and Sarah Walker were remanded into custody until November 30, when it is expected they will enter pleas at a crown court hearing.
