COPs loved it at the Lido as they returned to action
The team have been working hard behind the scenes negotiating a training timetable to get the young swimmers back to doing what they love, keeping in mind Covid-19 restrictions .
Excitement and anticipation was felt as the doors opened. The welcome sounds of bustling bags and chatter as the swimmers made their way to the poolside to finally be able to feel the cool water on their skin and get the adrenalin rush of being reunited with the water.

Hide AdCOPs head coach Ben Negus said: “COPs are delighted and privileged to have the opportunity to train at the fantastic Lido facilities before most swimming clubs in the nation get their opportunity to return.
“We are extremely grateful to the numerous volunteers who got the Lido up and running. It was great to see how members were buzzing to be back in the water and, although a little chilly, we had lots of smiles and happy members.
“We look forward to this two weeks in the Lido and then can’t wait to follow up with our return back into the regional pool on April 12.”
