It's another top title for terrific Taylor

The 45 year-old from Eye, a member of the city’s Hicks Karate School, won two world titles in 2016 and the year ended with him being inducted into the Martial Arts Illustrated Hall of Fame.

At the weekend, in his first competition of 2017, he claimed the Masters Under 85kg title at the World Martial Arts Organisation British Championships.

Taylor has now been selected to represent Team GB at the ISKA World Championships in Athens in May. He is looking for sponsors to help pay for his trip to Greece and has launched a Go Fund Me appeal at http://www.gofundme.com/fighting-at-the-iska-world-games
