Central defender Ryan Tafazolli has been ruled out of Saturday's (April 1) League One game against Charlton at the ABAX Stadium because of a groin injury.

Tafazolli has missed the last two Posh matches. He is due to see a specialist today (March 29) and it’s hoped he will return to training early next week.

Michael Bostwick and Jack Baldwin are expected to continue a central defensive pairing that helped pick up a clean sheet in Saturday’s (March 25) 1-0 win at Gillingham.

Posh hope to have on-loan West Ham midfielder Martin Samuelsen back in the squad for the Charlton match. He has been away playing for West Ham’s Under 21 side before international duty with Norway Under 21s.

Tom Nichols is due to resume training tomorrow (March 30). He limped out of the Gillingham win after just 20 minutes with a hip injury. Junior Morias, the matchwinner at the Priestfield Stadium, is pushing Nichols for his starting place.

First team squad regulars Andrew Hughes, Brad Inman and Paul Taylor played for Posh Reserves at Bournemouth yesterday (March 28). Posh played well, but still lost 4-1 to a team who had beaten them 8-1 earlier in the season.

Taylor missed a penalty before setting up a goal for Inman. Bournemouth struck three times late on to secure a flattering victory.
