Peterborough United face a reunion with a former hat-trick hero in EFL Trophy quarter-final

Peterborough United will travel to League Two side Tranmere Rovers in the quarter-finals of the Papa John’s Trophy

Tranmere are the only League Two side left in the competition. They are currently 10th in League Two after suffering a controversial points-per-game relegation last season.

Former Posh player Danny Lloyd is now at Tranmere. He scored a hat-trick for Posh in a 5-0 FA Cup win at Tranmere in 2017.

The tie is likely to be played on Tuesday, February 2.

Quarter-final draw: Tranmere v Posh, MK Dons v Sunderland, Oxford v AFC Wimbledon, Hull v Lincoln.
