The Football Association have today (February 20) confirmed two-match bans for captain Chris Forrester and recent signing Anthony Grant.

Forrester was dismissed by referee Mark Haywood for foul and abusive language towards an assistant referee while contesting the opening Walsall goal in a 2-0 League One defeat at the Banks’s Stadium on Saturday (February 18).

Grant had earlier picked up an 11th yellow card of the season. He carried 10 yellow cards and a red one with him when transferring from Port Vale on January 31.

Posh have major midfield problems for their League One home games with play-off rivals Southend tomorrow (February 21) and Rochdale (February 25) as in-form Gwion Edwards also picked up a serious-looking injury late in the match at Walsall.

The details of that injury have yet to be disclosed by the club.
