Hunts won a thriller against the Northants Academy by two runs at Peterborough Town yesterday (June 20).

Uffod Park’s Ross Keymer cracked 82 of Hunts’ 254-9 and was well supported by Nassington pair Tom Norman (55) and Alex Laud (42).

To complete a good day for Nassington CC players left-arm spinner Harrison Craig bagged 3-29 - his best senior county figures from 10 overs - as Northants closed on 252-8.

Norman (1-61) kept things tight with the ball at the end. He took a wicket with the first ball of the final over which Northants started requiring 12 to win.

Earlier Keymer and Laud had put on 83 for the first Hunts wicket. Keymer struck 12 fours and two sixes in his 124-ball innings.

Norman smashed four sixes in his 48-ball knock.
