New monthly walks in Central Park for people with dementia and their carers begin on Thursday, March 16 at 11am from the Buttercross café at the centre of the park.

The walks are a joint venture between The Alzheimer’s Society, the Friends of Central Park, Amey and Peterborough City Council, facilitated by Park Ward Labour councillors Richard Ferris and John Shearman.

Cllr Ferris said: “The walks are intended for those living with dementia and their carers, and will be leisurely strolls through the park, finishing back at the café for a well earned cuppa and cake no later than 12.30.”
