LETTER: Peterborough Arena 'simply not geared up' for Billy Connolly show

It was not only parking problems, the whole thing was a shambles.

We arrived in plenty of time at the venue and got to our seats well before the show started. However we missed large parts of the show due to people stomping up and down the aisle next to us as they could not find their badly signed seats.

The stewards did not have a clue what they were doing and I had a mobile phone light shoved in my face about 6 times as a steward asked to check my tickets. People were standing and sitting in the aisles and talking and it was impossible to concentrate on the show. Eventually some stewards started arriving with some extra metal chairs to try and accommodate those who did not have seats.

When we arrived there were large queues at the outside toilets as no one had bothered to tell people there were plenty more inside.

The venue simply was not geared up and I would certainly not return. I rang up this morning to talk to someone and my name and number was taken with the promise of a return call. Not surprisingly I am still awaiting that call.

The place is rubbish !
