Man killed at Huntingdon business park junction named by police

A man has been killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a van in Huntingdon.

Police are seeking witnesses following the fatal collision at the junction of Ermine Street and Lancaster Way in Huntingdon at around 3pm yesterday, Wednesday February 1

The crash involved a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a blue Kawasaki motorcycle. Sadly, the motorcyclist, 44-year-old Andrew Symmons, of Barn Close, Hartford near Huntingdon, suffered fatal injuries.

PC Ian Gray, from the Beds, Cambs and Herts Road Policing Unit, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it.”

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or either vehicle in the moments before the collision, is asked to contact the road policing unit on 101, quoting incident 271 of February 10.
